seoul biennale of architecture and urbanism 2021

The installation is a tribute to Sewoon Plaza’s history, craftspeople, and collective resilience. 

 

Electronic cables were knit using the traditional Korean knot to wrap the public stair of Sewoon Plaza in the heart of Seoul, serving as scaffolding to this site of urban transformation.

Melt

Summer pavilion inspired by lava stones of Jeju Island.

APMAP 2018, AmorePacific at O’Sulloc Tea Museum Jeju.

The process of thermaforming mimics the formation of lava rock: changing the physical state of solid to liquid, back to solid. Individual panels are woven into a parabolic structure that encapsulates the movement of liquid.
